In their own words…

“I found hippies on “Hippie Hill.” The story came to life for me! As I talked to each hippie, I was thrown into a whole different world, one that I knew nothing about until that day. I learned about a movement I wasn’t apart of, and one the youth of today don’t recognize. That’s what I wanted to capture in my story – I wanted everyone to know what it was like that sunny day on “Hippie Hill,” forty years after the original “Summer of Love.”

There aren’t many jobs you can have that will transport you to a different time, help you understand another point of view, or another way of life. This experience has reaffirmed my love for journalism.”
