Maribel Lucia Llano, 4, lays in a bed at her special ed school. She fears laying on her back and can only lay on her stomach. Maribel suffers from severe lead poisoning which has affected her neurological system, causing slight mental retardation. Maribel is one of the many children in La Oroya who suffer from nuerological symptomes, caused by lead intoxication.
