Daniels bows his head to pray at his home. After getting clean, Daniels joined the Muslim faith, a religion that appealed to him even as a young drug addict. He wouldnít allow himself to join the faith until he got clean because he thought that it would be too hypocritical. Once he quit using, he joined a local mosque and invested in a kufi, the hat that he now wears daily. As a devout Muslim, Daniels follows a strict prayer schedule and prays five times every day. Because he begins his first set of prayers around 5:00 in the morning, Daniels usually wakes up around 4 a.m. Daniels credits his rigorous daily routine as a one of the many factors that has allowed him to stay sober for almost two decades.
