“I never lost consciousness. I remember the whole thing. I remember the skin melting off my arms,” said Ricky Houchens on the front porch of his mother’s house with his sister Teresa. On November 4, 2004, Houchens was cooking methamphetamine with friends when chemicals mixed with water and exploded. Houchens suffered sever third degree burns over his arms, torso, and face.
