I-65 Collision (truck fire)
A firefighter begins to douse the wreckage of the early morning semi truck collision near the Boone County rest area on southbound I-65. “It sounded like a gunshot, quick and boom. 20 seconds later the gas tank blew,” said Dusty Jones, who was behind the trucks while driving from Chicago to his home in Atlanta. Kevin P. Leesey, 49, of Hammond, IN, was killed in the accident.
