Every night, Mary rubs Nevaeh’s head and stomach to help her fall asleep, because Nevaeh frequently experiences night terrors. Mary believes that these night terrors are a result of the drugs that Nichole was on throughout her pregnancy with Nevaeh. When Nevaeh was born, she had to be given small doses of the drugs that her mother was on to help with her withdrawal symptoms.
