Nevaeh jumps wildly on her bed as Kyle, a reclusive 14-year-old, texts his girlfriend in their Tampa home. Kyle and Nevaeh’s tiny, shared bedroom is split in half by a large cork board. Kyle complains about not having privacy or quiet. However, Mary cannot afford to rent a larger house, because she and the kids rely on Mary’s monthly social security and disability checks to pay for food and everyday needs.
