In a country where some gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender citizens are afraid of revealing their sexuality, San Francisco Police Sgt. Chuck Limbert is proud to be gay and proud to wear the uniform of his city, which he has served for 21 years. The Castro was home to the battleground of gay rights activist, Harvey Milk and is now the stomping grounds and district of Sgt. Limbert. He is known by the Castro community as Òthe mayorÓ for his support of those who come out of the closet from behind the badge and the work he puts forth to keep his community safe.
