Zach Norwood, 28 (center), a the senior member of the Co-op (he has lived there for almost 5 years), stands talking in the kitchen with Eva Shu (far right), 25, who is a “border” in the Co-op, someone who lives somewhere else but eats there on a daily basis. Fort Aswume has a strong community and almost every night people gather and talk with each other.
