On the first day of Baltimore Community Rowing’s summer partnership with Restoring Inner City Hope, Cordell Pinckney Jr. led the way carrying a rowboat out to the water on July 11, 2023 in Baltimore, Md. Rowing has had a place on Baltimore’s waterfront for centuries, but has historically been an upper-class sport. Baltimore Community Rowing has spent recent years trying to diversify the sport through scholarships, partnerships, and community outreach.
