- Donald Weaver takes a final shot at the Warren County Regional Jail gymnasium. Weaver was serving his last day of a several-month sentence for drug-related offense.
- Lee Pointe Condos is home to many in Bowling Green’s Tanzanian-American community. Congolese refugees arrive here via Tanzania and make up the largest group of recent refugee arrivals to the city, with over 1,200 estimated arrivals since 2018. Children gather for a portrait at the complex, many are Congolese refugees.
- Everleigh Gant gets a hug from her mother Kelly Carr in the Auburn Diner in Auburn, Ky. Gant had just finished singing “Favorite Song” by Toosii, which is her favorite song.

Sepak Takraw, a game of Southeast Asian origin with elements similar to volleyball and soccer, is popular among Bowling Green’s large Burmese immigrant population. Reh’s team walked away victorious from the game.
- David Dye cuts the hair of a client at Dye’s Barber Shop. Dye has worked at the shop for 58 years.
“I probably gave him his first haircut,” Dye laughs. - Audrey Cooper sleeps on a cot at Hillvue Heights Church warming shelter in Bowling Green, KY. Snowfall and freezing temperatures in January made it hazardous for the city’s homeless population to be outdoors.
Cooper’s goal is to be off the streets within a matter of weeks and is sleeping in warming shelters provided by local churches until something more permanent is available. Temperatures throughout the week dipped as low as 12 degrees Fahrenheit. - Refugee-centric soccer clubs have grown in popularity in Bowling Green with the increase of African immigrant populations coming to live in the city. The clubs have been practicing in Lampkin Park for decades, a popular park for the African teams to play.
