The “Marshal”: Frank Stecklin’s signature cowboy hat fit the occasion, a roundup of sorts. He rode into the 75th class reunion for TMP Marian High School, now Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, in Hays, Kan. Stecklin, 94, served as grand marshal. He grew up on a farm near Munjor, Kan., and graduated in 1932 from St. Joseph College and Military Academy in Hays. The former U.S. Air Force sergeant and World War II prisoner of war served in Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s headquarters. Stecklin now lives in San Antonio and plans to help with the school’s 100th anniversary celebration in July 2008 — and to attend the 80th class reunion in 2012, he said.
